NAUSHEEN SHAH

Nausheen Shah is a Los Angeles/New York based fashion stylist and creative consultant.   She is known for her discerning eye for detail and artistic approach to creating looks that capture attention and become sources of industry inspiration.  In 2023, she launched THE SMOKING ARCHIVE, a vintage, luxury designer store based in Los Angeles featuring tailored pieces from 1960's -1990's.

Nausheen was immersed in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance growing up. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree at University of Wisconsin - Madison in pre-medicine with a major in Spanish.  Soon thereafter, she pursued her ultimate career choice in fashion + arts.  She studied fashion design at Polimoda Institute in Florence, Italy with a tailoring specialization. She completed her degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2006. Nausheen moved on to design for Zac Posen before becoming his Collection Director in 2007-2008. 

Nausheen pivoted her career into fashion editorial, show and celebrity styling, print advertising and creative consulting. Nausheen is renowned for her celebrity styling with clients such as Kit Harington, Rose Leslie, Winston Duke, Benedict Wong and many others. Nausheen offers insight into her ability to understand the use of fabric, colors and textures to carry out her clients’ fashion direction while maintaining their integrity. 

Nausheen also began contributing as a luxury fashion/travel journalist when she featured on the cover the New York Post Real Estate section for her interior design in 2011.  Given her knowledge of fashion, travel, cuisine and design, this led to Nausheen becoming an international contributor writing fashion and travel articles for outlets such as Departures, Architectural Digest, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, L’Officiel and New York Post. Nausheen launched Bergdorf Goodman's first luxury travel section for their magazine. 


Now with two decades of experience, Nausheen's well-rounded, fashion experience has drawn in an international client base including Farfetch, Net-a-Porter, Le Bon Marché, Versace, Valentino, Ferragamo, Bally, Etro and many more.   In 2019, she launched a jewelry collaboration with designer Monica Sordo at Net-a-porter.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Nausheen is of Pakistani/Persian descent.
